Megan Wolf
Ward 4 School Committee
“When we work together with respect and shared responsibility, we keep our public schools strong and our vibrant community united.”
– Megan Wolf
Northampton is proud of its public schools and so am I.
My children attend them, and every day I see the dedication of our teachers, the energy of our students, and the commitment of families across our community.
But lately, politics has overshadowed progress across our country. Personal attacks and division are taking the focus away from what matters most: our kids.
I am running now because we need to unite in order to fend off these attacks, and we can do that by saying no more to political hate and no more to personal attacks.
Let’s lead like our kids are watching—because they are.
We are friends and neighbors, and together we can celebrate our wonderful schools and every single person who contributes to them. Our students deserve to see adults working together with dignity, not tearing one another down.
Ward 4 has the chance to set a new tone: one that lifts up teachers, families, and students alike. Together, we can celebrate our schools, face challenges with care, and build the strong, supportive community our children are counting on.
Let’s unite. Let’s build. Let’s lead.

What Can We Do Together?
Unite, Not Divide
There is so much to celebrate in our school community. Let’s do this. Northampton can recognize the amazing work our teachers and school administrators and leaders are doing every day, and the thoughtful and kind generations we are nurturing through this community.
Protect Public Education
We must come together as a community to protect this vital institution of our democracy from the threats we are seeing in states across the country. Now is the time to be united. Divisiveness will just make it easier for radical ideology to wedge it’s way into our system, through private school vouchers, book-banning, and pitting student needs against one another in order to justify the cutting of funding to the school system.
Honor Public Service
Strong schools depend on strong public service. Too often, we turn our frustrations on those who step up to serve — from elected officials to teachers and administrators. Public service is underpaid, undervalued, and yet essential to a healthy community. I believe Northampton can do better. We must treat our educators, administrators, and civil servants with respect, recognizing their dedication and working alongside them to solve problems. When we value public service, we strengthen our schools and our democracy.
Nurture Leadership
Build a Unified, Supportive, and Generative School Committee. When adults fight, our kids feel it. Teachers and administrators need a School Committee that supports their work, not one that creates an unbearable working environment. I will focus on constructive solutions, oversight, and accountability that build up our schools instead of tearing them down.
Lead with Integrity
We need steady, responsible leadership. Our community deserves a representative who listens, respects others, and solves problems. Instead of division and personal attacks, I will bring policy expertise, professional leadership experience, and the perspective of a public school parent to ensure Northampton’s schools remain a source of pride and strength.
Advocate
The School Committee needs to continually make the case to the state that the funding formula isn’t working for us. Collaborate with other cities and school boards to build statewide support for change.
Advocate for our schools locally. Be clear that Northampton is a the best place to call home and to send your children to school. Let’s build up our schools so we do not lose students to other districts.
